A total of 460,120 beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Zamboanga Peninsula region are now vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus as of March 14. 174,987 of which are from Zamboanga Del Norte, 186,829 are from Zamboanga Del Sur including Zamboanga City, 88,720 beneficiaries are from Zamboanga Sibugay Province, while 9,584 are from the city of Isabela, Basilan.

A big chunk of this figure comprising 48% of the beneficiaries are vaccinated grantees of the program which mostly are mothers, 20% are children, and 32% are adults 18 years old and above.

The vaccination effort of the DSWD is in compliance to the statement of the President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to have all Filipinos vaccinated against the virus that brought about the current pandemic.

Last December 2021, the government had conducted a widescale vaccination campaign dubbed as the National Vaccination Day which contributed to the high turnout of 4Ps beneficiaries that expressed interest in availing the Covid-19 jab.

The Department still targets more than 800,000 individuals in the 4Ps program to be vaccinated.
