PROCESSING CENTER FOR DISPLACED PERSONS

The establishment of Processing Center for Displaced Persons (PCDP) was initiated by the DSWD Field Office-IX primarily to respond to the needs of the increasing number of Filipino deportees or repatriates from Sabah, Malaysia as well as other locally-displaced persons like victims of trafficking in persons, illegal recruitment needing temporary shelter and emergency relief assistance.

The center aims to ensure maximum humanitarian facilities and provision of social support services and intervention to which include reception, classification, temporary shelter, emergency relief assistance and maintenance of databank of deportees or repatriates served through conduct of intake interview and need assessment.

Other services include: Provision of Food Assistance, clothing assistance, Psycho-social services, Medical, Burial and Transportation assistance and among others.

The PCDP proactively maintains its linkages and networks to other National Government Agencies and Private Partners for other interventions to the clients.
