ZAMBOANGA CITY — DSWD Nueve OIC Regional Director Atty. Sittie Raifah M. Pamaloy-Hassan pays a courtesy visit to the directors of ZCPO, PAF, AFP, and PNP as part of the goal to strengthen the partnership between the agency and the uniformed personnel through meaningful partnerships and collaborations.

On 9 February, RD Pamaloy-Hassan met with Zamboanga City Police Director PCOL Alexander Lorenzo at the ZCPO Headquarters. Both directors shared their experiences and active partnership in the implementation of programs and services. PCOL Lorenzo further committed to strengthen its collaboration with the DSWD Field Office IX through continuous strong linkages, provision of security support and law enforcement.



The following day, 10 February, she met with Philippine Armed Forces’ Wing Commander for the Tactical Operations Wing in Western Mindanao (TOW WesMin) Col. Dennis Estrella at Edwin Andrews Air Base. During the short courtesy call, RD Pamaloy-Hassan recalled the quick response during the C-130 incident in July 2021 sparking an initiative to utilize resources of both DSWD and PAF for quicker delivery of social services.



On the last day of the 3-day courtesy call, the Regional Director met with PNP Police Regional Office 9 Director PBGen. Franco Simbrio at the PNP Headquarters. Joining the Nueve RD is Crisis Intervention Unit Head Sittie Aisa Askalani and Project Development Officer Robert Arsena of Pantawid thanking the continuous support one has given to the other during times of need citing the quick response of ASEC. Jamolod and the Crisis Intervention Unit of DSWD. Highlighting the the rise of cases relating to rape and VAWC especially during the pandemic. PNP has committed to continue in encouraging victims to come forward, to report cases to their police officials as that social workers may process their case.



Later that day RD met with Commanding LTG. Alfredo V. Rosario Jr. of the Armed Forces of the Philippines at the Western Mindanao Command. She thanked AFP for providing assistance to the agency’s programs and delivering its services to clients, RD Pamaloy-Hassan encouraged AFP to utilize DSWD’s Listahanan Database in identifying poor households for their programs and projects.


RD Pamaloy-Hassan hopes to visit the remaining uniformed offices to express gratitude for their assistance to DSWD’s clients and in serving the country.
