The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through the KALAHI-CIDSS Program, held a joint stakeholders’ meeting with the Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU) on July 31, 2025, to review the implementation of the Cash-for-Work (CFW) Program and discuss preparations for its culmination activity.
Attended by representatives from the DSWD Regional Program Management Office, JRMSU administration, faculty, and student-beneficiaries, the meeting served as a platform to evaluate the program’s progress, address ongoing challenges, and recognize the impact of CFW across the different campuses.

JRMSU presented its consolidated accomplishments as of August 31, 2025, which highlighted the successful engagement of over 600 students and graduates from the university’s campuses. The presentation showcased not only the financial disbursements and outputs completed under the CFW Program but also emphasized the practical skills and work experiences gained by beneficiaries.

The CFW initiative was praised for offering meaningful employment to students while instilling a deeper appreciation for public service and community engagement.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthen collaboration between DSWD and JRMSU in future endeavors and to ensure a smooth and meaningful culmination of the program.
