In an effort to combat the proliferation of fake news online, the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) intensifies its advocacy on responsible social media access by launching the Tamang Tulong sa Tamang Impormasyon or 3Ti Campaign.
The 3Ti campaign emphasizes that by accessing accurate information, the Department will be able to provide the right services to the right clientele at the right moment.
“We want to make sure that our beneficiaries are not misled by misinformation and disinformation,” said the Regional Program Coordinator of 4Ps in Zamboanga Peninsula, Flordeliza A. Atuy.
The campaign seeks to safeguard the public from unscrupulous individuals that continue to exploit the needs of the poor, vulnerable, and marginalized sectors to advance their own agenda.
“Our official Facebook pages are the most reliable sources of information when it comes to DSWD programs and services,” Atuy added.
With this campaign, the DSWD encourages ALL 4Ps beneficiaries and their children to follow the official pages of the Department. A QR code is provided to direct the beneficiaries to the official pages.
Some personnel of the 4Ps have been conducting the 3Ti campaign across the region during DSWD activities including meetings and the regular conduct of Family Development Sessions (FDS) for the beneficiaries of the 4Ps.
The 4Ps team have recently visited the municipality of Labason and City of Dipolog in Zamboanga Del Norte, Guipos, Sominot, and Lakewood in Zamboanga Del Sur, barangays Panigayan and Tabuk in Isabela, Basilan, and Barangay Lumayang in Zamboanga City to discuss the campaign to beneficiaries and field implementers.
Currently, the Facebook page of the DSWD national office has garnered 1.7 million followers while the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program page has 770k followers. The regional office also encourages local residents within Zamboanga Peninsula to follow the DSWD Field Office IX -Zamboanga Peninsula page to get the latest updates on social services in the region.
