ZAMBOANGA CITY -100 beneficiaries of the country’s conditional cash transfer program, the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in the city gathered at Terracotta Hotel in Barangay Tumaga to celebrate the anniversary of the Republic Act 11310 or the 4Ps Act.

The celebration is dubbed as 4Ps Act-nniversary featuring the 4-year accomplishments of the program since its institutionalization, not only on its activities but more so on its beneficiaries and field implementers.

To begin, the Department has invited a beneficiary from Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte who recently won in the nationally-acclaimed talent competition on television, Tawag ng Tanghalan sa It’s Showtime. The beneficiary, Jecerey Mutia, a 2-time defending champion in the said competition rendered songs to the 4Ps implementers as a gesture of gratitude to the interventions and services provided to poor families, including the Mutia family.

Moreover, the activity also paid tribute to the field implementers by recognizing their strengths and contributions to the program and the Department. Awards and certificates were presented by the Regional Director Riduan Hadjimuddin thru the Assistant Regional Director Ma. Socorro Macaso and Regional Program Coordinator Flordeliza Atuy.

This recognition culminated in a tribute segment dedicated especially for a 4Ps employee who passed away in 2022, Marjun Sabellana who was assigned in Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur. The segment became quite emotional however, the greatness of Marjun’s contributions was celebrated.

The event also was an avenue to award the winners of the recently concluded Gulayan sa Barangay competition.

Overall, the celebration was successful and has achieved the objectives of the activity. Some of the partner-agencies were also present during the celebration such as TESDA.
