The Home for the Elderly officially received the donated Deep Well Water System Project of the United Architects of the Philippines-Zamboanga City chapter on March 24, 2022 during its ceremonial turn-over.

The 45,000 worth project of the UAP-Zamboanga City Chapter was part of its Corporate Social Responsibility in celebration of the World Water Day celebrated every 22nd day of March.

The center head Fatnohalda Padih gladly expressed their warm appreciation for the said donation, “Water is essential in the center, it can provide convenience not only to the center residents but also to our daily chores”,  she said.

In his message, the UAP chapter president Arch. Noel Del Rosario said that as architects, they are dubbed as master builders of quality-built environment which aims to uplift the quality of life of the people, they design building, parks, houses, to give comfort, safety and secured living.

“Our CSR leads us to look at the very basic needs of people, one of which is access to clean water. In our chapter, we decided to have this program to give out to badly needed communities, and even a center like this”, he added.

The said project was finished in 3 working days and already functional for the center’s use after its completion. The United Architects of the Philippines-Zamboanga Chapter is composed of 115 architects.

The Home for the Elderly is a temporary residential care facility catering to 44 active clients at present who are classified as abandoned, homeless, neglected, and unattached. They are given adequate support through the different programs and services of center.
