Zamboanga City – DSWD Field Office IX’S Human Resource Management and Development Division (HRMDD) was conferred with Bronze Level II Maturity under the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) on September 17 during the Virtual PRIME-HRM Awarding Ceremony.
In her speech, Field Office IX’s OIC-Regional Director, Atty. Sittie Raifah M. Pamaloy-Hassan congratulated HRMDD through the leadership of Mr. Jayson L. Elias, MSW. “Congratulations to the HR family and may the road towards the next level be filled with enriching lessons, worthy initiatives, and groundbreaking strategies for the HRMDD,” she said.
“Today, we celebrate the series of small wins that has amounted to a greater goal, which is the Bronze Level II Maturity, as proof that the Division consistently improves, growing from just a transactional HR unit to a vital support to operations, with improving processes in place. The more we celebrate milestones like these, the more there is to celebrate in our journey towards the next level.”
“As we take in lessons we have learned in the pursuit of this victory, it is a vital part of the journey towards success to take in the glory of what you have accomplished. I am honored to be part of this now and will be there to support and guide you, still, in the next journey towards integration of the processes you have put in place,” she added.
In CY 2017, Field Office IX’s HR Unit was reassessed and assisted by the CSC to craft an action plan and pursue the Bronze Maturity Level II. By January 2018, the Action Plan for HR Reengineering was reviewed and finalized for implementation. This change was in support of the PRIME-HRM model and indicators and helped in the Field Office’s journey towards Bronze.
Various good practices and initiatives on (a) Recruitment, Selection, and Placement, (b) Learning and Development, (c) Performance Management, and (d) Rewards and Recognition were pursued by the Division in pursuit of the said certification.
Together with the DSWD Field Office IX, the regional offices of the Department of Agriculture (DA), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Parole and Probation Authority-Department of Justice (PPA-DOJ), and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) were also conferred with Bronze Level II Maturity. ###
