Eighty eight students availed the Government Internship Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development in Field Office IX this summer.
The students who were deployed in various units, centers and SWADTs of the agency officially started on April 26, 2017.
They shall observe the eight regular working hours per day and shall render 30 days of work to complete the program.
The GIP aims to expose the young interns in the government service, provide a potential avenue for recruits in the future and aid them financially to continue their studies this coming school year.
The applicants were requested to submit an Application Form attached with their recent 2×2 picture, Income Tax Return of parents, Barangay Certificate of Indigency indicating the income of the family and proof of school registration from the university or college institution. The applicants must be 18-25 years of age during the application period in order to qualify for the said program.
A thorough review of documents were done to assess and screen the applicants through the Techical Working Group composed of key personnel of DSWD Field Office IX. An assessment guide was used to clearly determine the qualified applicants for the slots.
Each student will be paid 210 per day, a total of 6,300 for 30 days of work provided that they have not incurred late and absences during the period. ##
