The Recovery and Reintegration Program for Trafficked Persons is a comprehensive program that ensures adequate recovery and reintegration services provided to trafficked persons.
Trained social workers respond to reported cases of trafficking and rescue the victims through the coordinated efforts of the Anti-Trafficking Task Force in the region. They shall provide immediate case management, documentation procedures and interventions to include medical assistance, stress debriefing and hygiene kits during the rescue.
DSWD accommodates the victims in search of temporary shelter to cope up with their traumatic experience and those with-ongoing court cases. Separate Units are available for male and female victims.
DSWD also provides direct services to victims of trafficking such as: Financial assistance for employment, Capital Assistance, Financial Assistance while undergoing skills training, Referral to employers and/ or business partners, most especially reunification to their families.
