ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE – In partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), a training on Rug Making and Financial Operation Management was conducted to support the livelihood of poor families belonging to the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in the Municipality of Liloy.
Thirty (30) 4Ps members participated in the said training that aims to provide skills enhancement and technical know-how on business operations and management part
icularly in the rug-making industry.
This partnership was possible through the implementation of the Municipal Action Plan agreed and committed by the 4Ps workers, beneficiaries, and partners such as the DTI.
Despite the challenges in funds, the Business Counselor from DTI, Fredelyn P. Alivar, was able to facilitate the successful conduct of the training in the province.
“As long as available ang resources and willing ang participants, the Department is willing to provide skills training,” Alivar said.
The DSWD, together with its partners, continues to look for interventions that would enable the development and growth of 4Ps families towards Self-Sufficiency.
