It is a double “Mabuhay!” celebration for the municipality of Mabuhay in Zamboanga Sibugay province as two (2) of its constituents who are members of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) recently received Latin honors during their college graduation.

Clarence L. Ytang, Magna Cum Laude, and Markye S. Sanchez, Cum Laude, both residents of Mabuhay bagged the highest honorary distinctions during the 2026 graduation ceremony of Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) Mabuhay Campus.

Both students dominated the secondary and elementary level of Bachelor of Science in Education. Ytang was hailed as the top student of her class in Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics while Sanchez graduated with flying colors in Bachelor of Elementary Education.

In a social media post by the Mabuhay Pantawid, the 4Ps Social Workers in the said municipality showcased their accolades for the 2 beneficiaries through a meaningful message.

“Your remarkable achievements are a testament to your perseverance, hard work, determination, and commitment to education. From being monitored children under the Pantawid Program to becoming honor graduates, your journey serves as an inspiration to fellow Pantawid youth and to the entire community…May your achievements inspire many more Pantawid children to dream big, work hard, and succeed.”

The regional program management office of the 4Ps in Zamboanga Peninsula is yet to account all 4Ps graduates in the region.

As of to date, the Program has accounted almost 2,000 4Ps college graduates across the country who were awarded with special distinctions and Latin honours.
